Fillmore is one of the trendiest shopping streets of San Francisco.
Aesop, Le Labo, L’Occitane, Sandro, and more… Fillmore is filled with cool shops and restaurants and strolling there is an easy and nice way to chill out during the week-end.
Among the cool things you can do there, we suggest at least 3:
1. Have a cheap and yummy lunch at La Méditerranée. A cute little mediteranean cantine where you can have quiche, hummus, greek salad or soup for a very fair price.
2. Have some cocktails at the Elite Café. Thumbs up to their Frozen Daiquiri.
3. Listen to good Jazz. Fillmore was the Jazz music headquarters street for many decades and for many famous Jazz artists back in the 40’s and 50’s, such as Ella Fitzgerald, Duke Ellington, Billie Holiday, who all played in different clubs of the street. As a reminiscence of this glorious past we can still enjoy great music at the Sheba Piano Lounge or the Boom Boom Room. Cherry on the cake, there’s an annual Jazz Festival every summer, and the Jazz Heritage Center is located on 1320 Fillmore (at Eddy).
Other than doing these 3 things on Fillmore Street, you can also have a mani and pedi at Vogue Nails, try a blow out at Drybar, shop some stylish clothes at Ralph Lauren, Rag & Bone and more, or shop great beauty products at Credo Beauty (organic beauty products) or Space NK Apothecary London which has a lot of European beauty brands if you want to discover new stuff or if you’re missing your favorite beauty essentials.
Sounds like a fun program !
