Located in the Golden Gate Park, just across the Science Museum, it is perfect for a zen break.
Au programme : udon soup, matcha tea and mochi ice cream as a whole gourmet menu.
After this typical Japanese lunch, it is highly recommended to walk through the garden.
Created in 1894 by Makoto Hagiwara for the California Midwinter International Exposition, this « Japanese Village » like is surrounded by native Japanese plants and typical Japanese elements such as green trees, pagodas, ponds with fishes and arched drums bridges.
You will enjoy the atmosphere : it’s like being in Japan, minus the travel worries.
Open daily from 9:00 am to 4:45 pm (9:00 am to 6:00 pm during summertime)
Free admission if entered by 10:00 am, otherwise $6.00 to $9.00 depending on if you’re resident or not.
